SFATA's 2018 Elected Board of Directors

April Meyers, President of the Board

April Meyers is the owner of Northeast Vapor Supplies, LLC located in Connecticut and has been in the business since 2012. Her company has one retail store and manufactures three E-Liquid lines sold throughout the country; New Direction, Rebel Liquids and Thrifty Vapors.

April’s background is in the corporate business world. She began her career managing logistics and staffing for large trade shows, then became an analyst for a consumer ratings company, and finished as a financials communications professional for a global conglomerate.

An entrepreneur at heart, she left the corporate world and launched her retail vapor store with her husband. She has been actively engaged in advocacy since the beginning and ultimately helped to pull other Connecticut companies together to fight for their businesses. She served as a co-president for the Connecticut SFATA chapter until she took her role as our organization’s President of the Board of Directors.  This is Meyer's second term as Board President.  She will serve a two year term ending in December, 2019.
Mark Anton, Vice President

Mark Anton has been involved in the vapor industry since 2008 and is CEO and founder of What A Smoke, LLC an e-cig and vapor device manufacturer and distributor. Mark also served as a principal investigator on a government contract to develop a standardized e-cigarette for research. In addition to his work with SFATA, Mr. Anton serves as Legislative Director for federal matters for the New Jersey Vapor Rights Coalition (NJVRC) which represents retailers in his home state. Mark is passionate about the industry and has testified before the FDA on vapor matters and works with multiple associations to promote the vapor space before legislative bodies. This will be Anton's second term as Board Vice-President.  He will serve a two year term ending in December, 2019.
Robert Arnold, Treasurer

Robert Arnold is the founder and CEO of Saffire Vapor, a 22 store chain based in Nashville with store locations in Tennessee and Kentucky.  He started the company in 2012 and opened the first store in December of that year, working in nearly every position and role of the company at some point or another.  Robert had been working as Production Control Manager for an international automotive supplier before starting Saffire Vapor in his garage like so many other SFATA members.

Robert is incredibly excited to be taking on a leadership position with SFATA at this time and is highly optimistic that November's election results will create a much more favorable landscape for SFATA members to survive and thrive. This is Arnold's second term as Board Treasurer.  His term on the board expires in 2018.
Mike Runshe, Secretary

The CEO and Co-Founder of Giant Vapes, LLC based in East Providence, RI, Michael is a long time vaper himself. Along with his business partner, Michael used his 10+ years’ experience in sales, marketing, and customer service within the tech sector to launch Giant Vapes with a goal of creating the easiest-to-use, most customer-centric e-commerce website in the industry featuring a massive, curated selection of the highest quality e-liquid brands on the market. As a former smoker and continued vaper, Michael is extremely passionate about the continued success and longevity of the vape industry, and is thrilled that his role with SFATA will help further the industry's growth. This is Runshe's first term as Board Secretary.  He will serve a two year term ending in December, 2019.
Dave Morris, Director

Dave Morris is the founder and owner of Vape Gravy an eliquid company based out of Phoenix, Arizona and is returning for his second year on the SFATA Board of Directors. Dave worked together with the leadership of multiple advocacy organizations in Arizona and played a pivotal role in unifying them into a single organization, the Arizona Smoke Free Business Alliance, where he serves as Vice Chairman.

When he’s not running his company or fighting the advocacy war on both fronts, Dave also serves as the President of the Board at Vape A Vet Project, which offers assistance to veterans and active duty military personnel and their families as they transition from cigarettes to vapor products. This will be Morris's second term as a director.  He will serve a two year term ending in December, 2019.
